Model forecasts are indicating that this system will intensify further and track southwards between Rodrigues and Mauritius.
Moist and unstable atmospheric conditions are expected to establish as from tonight over Rodrigues and eventually over Mauritius as from tomorrow Monday 22 January 2024.
Besides, an instability zone is approaching Rodrigues from the north west, and will influence weather as from tonight 21 January 2024 with showers, moderate at times together with isolated thunderstorms.
There are still significant uncertainties in both the track and intensity of the system.
