Le gouvernement a donné son feu vert au ministère du Transport de promulguer plusieurs régulations dont le principal est pour le A!-M! Link qui relie Gros Cailloux à Sorèze en passant le pont qui a été construit à Chebel.
Motorways and Main Roads (Amendment) Regulations
Cabinet has agreed to the promulgation of the Motorways and Main Roads (Amendment) Regulations 2024. The Regulations would provide for the classification of the newly constructed A1-M1 Link Road and the A1-A3 Link Road. The A1-A3 Link Road starts from the junction with A1 Road at Chebel Roundabout, passes through Malabar Hill Roundabout and ends with a signalised junction on the A3 Road at Gros Cailloux. The A1-M1 Link Road connects the A1 Road at Chebel Roundabout, passes through the bridge spanning over the Grand River North West Valley to end at the junction with Motorway M1 at Sorèze.
Road Traffic (Construction and Use of Vehicles) (Amendment) Regulations
Cabinet has taken note that the Road Traffic (Construction and Use of Vehicles) (Amendment) Regulations 2024 would be promulgated. The Regulations would provide for the removal of restrictions on the operation of high-floor buses in Mauritius.
Road Traffic (Public Service Vehicle, Road Service and Carrier’s Licence) (Amendment) Regulations
Cabinet has taken note that the Road Traffic (Public Service Vehicle, Road Service and Carrier’s Licence) (Amendment) Regulations 2024 would be promulgated. These Regulations, inter alia, provide for the implementation of a Public Service Vehicle, Road Service and Carrier’s Licence by the National Land Transport Authority.
