The Consumer Price Index (CPI) increased by 0.2 point or 0.2% from 102.6 in June 2024 to 102.8 in July 2024.
Year-on-year (Y-o-y) inflation worked out to 2.7% in July 2024, compared to 5.9% in July 2023. Headline inflation for the 12-months ending July 2024 worked out to 4.3%, compared to 10.0% for the 12-months ending July 2023.
Y-o-y CORE1 inflation stood at 1.9% for July 2024, compared to 3.1% in July 2023 while, y-o-y CORE2 inflation worked out to 3.3% in July 2024, compared to 4.3% in July 2023.
