The official launch of the F1 in Schools STEM Challenge 2025 in Mauritius, organized by ReUSE Revamp in collaboration with the U.S. Embassy and the Rajiv Gandhi Science Centre was held on the 19th September 2024.
This exciting initiative empowers young minds to explore the world of STEM through the thrill of designing, engineering, and racing miniature Formula 1 cars said François Mark, CEO of ReUSE Revamp.

What is F1 in Schools?
F1 in Schools is a global STEM challenge where students design, manufacture, test, and race miniature, compressed-air powered Formula 1 cars. The program blends learning and excitement, encouraging young minds to develop skills in engineering, project management, marketing, and teamwork. Since its inception in 1999, F1 in Schools has inspired millions of students worldwide, opening doors to careers in Formula 1 and other high-tech industries.

Program Structure
Team Composition
Each team consists of 3-6 students, with specific roles such as Team Manager, Design Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer, and Marketing Manager. This structure fosters teamwork, leadership, and collaboration.
Competition Stages
● Regional Competitions: Teams compete locally to qualify for national events.
● National Competitions: Winners from regional rounds advance to national competitions.
● World Finals: The top teams compete globally, showcasing their talent on an international stage.
Design and Engineering
Students will apply STEM principles to design miniature F1 cars. Using advanced tools, they learn to optimize their designs for speed and efficiency while working within budget constraints.

Eligibility:
● Students aged 9-19 are eligible to participate.
○ Ages 11-19: Eligible for regional and world finals.
○ Ages 9-11: Engage in hands-on learning, building F1 cars from cardboard and sustainable materials.
