Producer Price Index – Manufacturing

The PPI-M, which stood at 109.1 in September 2018, registered an increase of 0.2 point (+0.2%) during the fourth quarter of 2018 to reach 109.3 in December 2018.

On a monthly basis, the PPI-M increased by 0.1 point (+0.1%) in October 2018, decreased by 0.1 point (-0.1%) in November 2018 and increased by 0.2 point (+0.2%) in December 2018.

#The average PPI-M for the fourth quarter of 2018 stood at 109.2, i.e. an increase of 0.5 point (+0.5%) from 108.7 in the third quarter of 2018. Compared to the corresponding quarter of 2017, the average PPI-M for the fourth quarter of 2018 increased by 3.3 points (+3.1%), mainly explained by higher prices of “Food products and beverages” (+3.9%).
