Quarterly Index of Industrial Production

The overall index of industrial production for the first quarter of 2019 contracted by 18.5% compared to the previous quarter and expanded by 2.2% compared to the corresponding quarter of 2018. For year ending first quarter 2019, i.e. second quarter 2018 to first quarter 2019, real industrial output grew by 1.1%

In the first quarter of 2019, the index for the manufacturing sector went down by 24.3% compared to the previous quarter and expanded by 0.4% compared to the corresponding quarter of 2018. In year ending first quarter of 2019, real output of the Manufacturing sector registered a positive growth of 0.4%.
