This unique event will position Mauritius as a hub for the arts and culture in the region and globally. The exhibition will take place at the newly opened Le Caudan Arts Centre, a landmark cultural venue in Mauritius. Nestled at Le Caudan Waterfront precinct of Port-Louis, a vibrant and iconic location that seamlessly marries business with leisure and culture, Le Caudan Arts Centre will be transformed into a lively open-air studio for the duration of an exhibition. Boasting a theatre with exceptional acoustics, an exhibition area and other rst-rate facilities, Le Caudan Arts Centre is set to be a leading cultural destination in the region.

Mauritius as an Artistic & Cultural Hub
Founded by artist activist Zaahirah Muthy, the MIAF is a multi-disciplinary contemporary art fair designed to introduce original artwork from local, regional and international artists and galleries. By bringing such a wide range of inuences and together, MIAF aims to position Mauritius as an inter-nationally renowned art hub, to generate increased levels of tourism both during the festival and year-round, to educate Mauritian society about the value of buying original artwork as an invest-ment and to empower the younger generation by involving them during the MIAF.

Creating a Bridge between Local & International Artists

The MIAF is an annual rendezvous for artists from all over the world to gather, network and engage in artistic dialogue and cultural exchange. The art fair unites artists, predominantly from neighbor-ing islands (Reunion, Madagascar, Seychelles) but also from Europe, the Middle East and Africa, Asia, Americas and Oceania, in the spirit of plugging Mauritian artists into the global art network. Visitors will have the opportunity to view and purchase an impressive range of art forms, including painting, sculpture, photography, installation, visual, and sound media and assemblage. Each piece will be of indisputably high quality yet priced fairly. The MIAF will feature a carefully curated se-lection of emerging artists, pavilions, art installations and project spaces alongside stimulating art activities, workshops, and live performances that are designed to engage and entertain both adults and children.
