After the waiving of Cyclone warning, the NEOC has now entered from a response phase to a recovery phase.
An assessment of all different sectors of the Republic of Mauritius is being carried out to ensure a smooth transition from ex-Calvinia.
As such NEOC will remain active until the situation becomes normal in the Republic of Mauritius.
The public is advised that the sea is rough and people should avoid venturing on the beach and at sea. NCG patrol is underway on the coast.
Local Emergency Operations Command have been activated in all Municipal and District Councils to assess damage caused by Calvinia and ensure swift response.
