One-off Allowance of Rs 10, 000 to Individual Contract Bus Operators licensed to convey tourists

Further to the Press Communique released by The Ministry of Land Transport and Light Rail on 15 November 2021, individual contract bus operators licensed to convey tourists are hereby informed that the delay for submission of their documents to the National Land Transport Authority (NLTA) has now been extended up to 17 December 2021.

The Ministry wishes to reiterate that the one-off allowance of Rs10,000 will be payable only to individual contract bus operators licensed to convey tourists who;
A. are eligible for payment of an allowance under the Self-Employed Assistance Scheme; and
B. are registered with the Mauritius Revenue Authority under the Contribution Sociale Généralisée.

In order to assist this Ministry and the NLTA to ensure prompt payment of the above oneoff allowance, contract bus operators, as eligible, are requested to email a scanned copy of their National Identity Card and their Public Service Vehicle Licence to the NLTA on
[email protected] not later than the extended delay of 17 December 2021.

The Ministry of Land Transport and Light Rail relies on the usual cooperation of the contract bus operators.
