The tropical disturbance which is evolving to the East of Agalega is expected to move westwards and approach the island, while gradually intensifying into a tropical depression.

Clouds associated to the system are expected to influence the weather with thundery showers at Agalega as from Monday 16 January to Wednesday 18 January.

Wind will strengthen and blow at 50 km/h in the mean with gusts of 80 km/h, reaching 100 km/h.

Sea state will become gradually very rough with swells of 4 to 6 metres.
