Safety neasures during Cavadee and Maha Shivaratri festival

In the context of Cavadee and upcoming Maha Shivaratri festival, Metro Express Ltd would like to remind all devotees and the public that the Overhead Lines are energised/live and can cause electrocution if touched (directly or indirectly with any object)

Metro Express Ltd would therefore advise the public to stay away and take extra precautions while in the vicinity of the Metro Express alignment from Curepipe to Port Louis and Ebene to Reduit due to the high risk of electrocution which may lead to serious injury.

For your own security, always maintain a safe distance from our live overhead lines. If crossing the Metro Express railway corridor is unavoidable, please ensure a safe distance of at least 2 meters from any overhead electric line.

Police will be present to guide pilgrims as customary. You are kindly advised to follow their guidance and all signages for your own security.
