Weather outlook for Mauritius and Rodrigues from 08th to 12th March 2023

On the Synoptic Scale, the Tropical cyclone Freddy is expected to intensify further and move northwestwards before making landfall over Mozambique.

Over the Mascarenes, there will be vast low pressure area in the coming days, which will develop from the low pressure currently to the south of Rodrigues.

Weather Outlook for Mauritius 08 to 12 March:

Wednesday08: Partly Cloudy, with occasional showers over the high grounds.

Thursday 09 & Friday 10: Scattered showers, moderate at times with thunderstorms.

Saturday 11: Cloudy periods with passing showers mainly the East, the South and over the Central Plateau

Sunday 12 : Cloudy periods over the Central Plateau and the Windward slopes with showers at times. Partly cloudy elsewhere.

Wind will be from the Southeast 15-25 km/h in the mean becoming gusty in thundery showers.

Weather Outlook for Rodrigues 08 to 12 March:

Wednesday 08: Partly cloudy, with few showers over the high grounds. Rather cloudy with risk of isolated thunderstorm at night

Thursday 09: Rather cloudy in the morning, with few showers over the high grounds. Partly cloudy afterwards

Friday 10: Partly cloudy, with few showers over the high grounds.

Saturday 11: Partly Cloudy, with occasional showers.

Sunday 12: Partly cloudy with occasional showers.

Wind will blow from the northeastern sector 10-15 km/h turning to easterly 20-30km/h as from Friday and eventually southeasterly as from Saturday 11.
