Monsha’at, l’Autorité générale des petites et moyennes entreprises du Royaume d’Arabie saoudite, a signé un protocole d’accord avec Huawei Tech Investment Saudi Arabia Limited. Signé lors du jour d’ouverture de Biban 2023 – la plus grande conférence sur les startups, les PME et l’entrepreneuriat en Arabie saoudite – le nouveau partenariat verra les deux entités joindre leurs forces pour renforcer la transformation numérique des petites et moyennes entreprises (PME) saoudiennes.
Dans le cadre de l’accord, Monsha’at et Huawei Tech Investment Saudi Arabia collaboreront pour offrir aux PME saoudiennes les outils nécessaires pour se développer et réussir dans le domaine du commerce électronique. L’accord facilitera la coopération conjointe et permettra d’avancer des solutions de pointe conçues pour autonomiser les PME dépendantes des technologies de communication.
Ce protocole d’accord constitue l’un de plus de 25 accords lancés parallèlement à une série d’initiatives d’investissement, lors du premier jour de Biban 2023. L’événement, organisé du 9 au 13 mars 2023 au Riyadh Front Exhibition & Conference Center, a attiré plus de 105 000 entrepreneurs, propriétaires de PME, investisseurs, décideurs et d’autres parties prenantes de l’Arabie saoudite et d’ailleurs.
Outre le protocole d’accord signé avec Huawei, huit banques et entités financières se sont engagées à fournir plus de 2,93 milliards de dollars pour soutenir le secteur des PME au Royaume.
Conformément au plan Saudi Vision 2030, ces accords contribueront à diversifier l’économie nationale, et transformer le pays en un épicentre commercial clé de classe mondiale pour le commerce régional et international.
Sami Ibrahim Alhussaini, gouverneur de Monsha’at, a déclaré : « Nous nous engageons pleinement à soutenir l’économie nationale et à libérer le potentiel du Royaume. Pour y parvenir, nous œuvrons pour créer un environnement entrepreneurial affirmatif propice à l’investissement et à la croissance. Nous avons obtenu des avancées significatives au fil des ans, comme en témoigne le récent classement du Royaume de la 41ème place en 2018 à la 2ème place en 2022, selon l’indicateur de l’entrepreneuriat (State of Entrepreneurship), dans le dernier rapport du Global Entrepreneurship Monitor (GEM). »
Et d’ajouter : « Biban 2023 constitue une magnifique opportunité pour nous permettre de capitaliser sur ces progrès et avancer pour atteindre les objectifs du plan Saudi Vision 2030. The Small and Medium Enterprises General Authority of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Monsha’at, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Huawei Tech Investment Saudi Arabia Limited. Launched on the opening day of Biban 2023 — Saudi Arabia’s flagship startup and SME forum — the new partnership will see the two entities join forces to enhance the digital transformation of the Kingdom’s small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
As part of the agreement, Monsha’at and Huawei Tech Investment Saudi Arabia will work together to equip Saudi SMEs with the tools to grow and succeed in the e-commerce space. The agreement will promote joint-cooperation and pioneer leading-edge solutions designed to empower SMEs reliant on communication technology.
The MoU was one of more than 25 agreements launched alongside a range of investment initiatives, on the first day of Biban 2023. The event — taking place from March 9 to March 13, 2023, at the Riyadh Front Exhibition & Conference Center — is expected to attract over 105,000 participants, including entrepreneurs, SME owners, investors, policymakers, and other stakeholders from the Kingdom and beyond.
As part of the agreements signed, separate to the MoU with Huawei, eight banks and financing entities pledged more than $2.93 billion to support the Kingdom’s SME ecosystem.
In line with Vision 2030, the agreements will contribute to the diversification of the national economy, transforming the country into a world-class hub of commerce.
Sami Ibrahim Alhussaini, Governor of Monsha’at, said: “We are fully committed to bolstering the national economy and fulfilling the Kingdom’s potential. As part of this mission, we aim to create an affirming entrepreneurial environment conducive to investment and growth. We have made significant strides on this journey over the years, as seen with the Kingdom’s recent leap from 41st place — in 2018 — to second place, in 2022, on the Global Entrepreneurship Monitor’s ‘State of Entrepreneurship index’.”
