Monthly External Merchandise Trade Statistics for January 2023

Balance of Visible Trade showed a deficit of Rs 11,539 million in January 2023, lower by 39.9% compared to the previous month and by 9.0% compared to the corresponding month of 2022.

In January 2023, total imports decreased by 34.5% compared to December 2022 and by 1.3% compared to January 2022, total exports decreased by 23.9% compared to December 2022 and increased by 13.4% compared to January 2022.
