An instability zone is likely to gradually develop as from Sunday evening in the vicinity the Mascarene Islands, thus favoring the formation of active clouds. These clouds are expected to influence the weather over Mauritius from Sunday evening till Wednesday 12.

Most numerical weather prediction models are in consensus that there will be moderate to heavy rainfall as from Sunday 09 evening. It is very likely that the showers will be more frequent on Monday 10 and Tuesday 11.

Cloudy with scattered showers which will be moderate to locally heavy with thunderstorms at times. These showers may likely cause water accumulations in certain regions.

Wind will be light to moderate, strengthening with gusts in thundery showers.

Sea will be moderate with South Westerly swells, becoming temporarily rough in thundery showers.
