The island is under the influence of clouds coming from the east and unstable atmospheric conditions.
Cloudy to overcast over the whole island with showers, moderate at times. These showers will be heavy at times in the evening and could persist till early tomorrow morning.
The heavy showers may also cause water accumulations in certain places.
The visibility will be reduced due to fog and during heavy showers.
A Heavy Rain warning is in force in Mauritius.
The public is advised to:
1. avoid places prone to water accumulations, river banks and other water courses which may be flooded and certain mountain slopes prone to landslide.
2. be very cautious on the roads due to reduced visibility resulting from heavy showers and fog patches.
