Communique from Mauritius Police Force

The Police Press & Public Relations Office of the Mauritius Police Force issued a press communique on the 28th February 2023 after the release of Bruneau Laurette on bail.

It is stated that Commissioner of Police, Mr Anil Kumar Dip, said during the afternoon of the 28/02/2023 in the Police Headquarters that:-

The mandate of the Mauritius Police Force (MPF) is to protect the population from all forms of crime and drug scourge

He stated that

The MPF has taken cognizance of the ruling of the District Magistrate of the Moka Court and the ensuing communiqué issued by the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP). He said that the MPF respects the decision of the Magistrate and the prerogative of the DPP.
