The professional French Club has a solid reputation of developing young African footballers into world class stars.

Boarding his flight from Mauritius on Sunday 14 May 2023, Steeler will spend four days, 16 to 19 May 2023, in full time training displaying his football abilities, natural fitness, range of passing and game intelligence, to impress the coaching staff of SC Bastia.

This opportunity has been created in partnership with David Martinache, football agent from Nash Football established in Mauritius. The 4-day trial will see the young Mauritian defender participate with the first team squad which competes in Ligue 2. The ultimate objective of this football trial is to lock-in a professional contract and turn into a pro player.

Head Coach of LFCIA Mauritius, hailing from Liverpool, Neil Murphy reveals,

“Its great news to have the first male graduated player of the academy to go for an international trial. Our continuous hard work is showing satisfactory results to create a bridge for overseas opportunities for the most talented football players of the academy to showcase their skills and to try sealing pro contracts in professional football clubs abroad. Steeler is a classy defender and has always been a standout student during his 4 years at the LFCIA academy since he joined in 2019. He has all the ability and talent to catch the eyes of the Bastiais coaching staff and to succeed as a pro player. We wish him all the best in this intense 4-day adventure and for this bright future.”
