Le grand jour du Ministre des Finances, Dr. Renganaden Padayachy est arrivé pour cette neuvième séance parlementaire de 2023.

Le Grand Argentier fera son discours sur l’économie du pays passé et avenir, les prévisions et ses très attendues mesures pendant un peu plus de 90 minutes.

Parole lui sera donnée après les annonces, les papiers déposées, la motion du Premier Ministre et le vote de sa motion pour étendre la séance au delà de heure indiquée dans les Standing Orders qui est de 19 h 00.

Sittings10. (1) Subject to the terms of any Proclamation by the President of the Republic under subsection (1) of section 56 of the Constitution appointing the time and place for the beginning of any session of the Assembly, the Assembly shall sit on Tuesdays at 11.30 o’clock in the morning or at such other day and time as it may decide:
Provided that if through any unavoidable cause the Assembly cannot sit on the day and at the time appointed or decided then it shall sit on the Tuesday following at 11.30 o’clock in the morning.(2) Subject to the provisions of paragraph (8) of this Order, at 7.00 o’clock in the evening, except as hereinafter provided, the proceedings on any business under consideration shall be interrupted and, if the Assembly is in Committee, the Chairperson shall leave the Chair and report progress and ask leave to sit again, and if a motion has been made for the adjournment of the Assembly (other than a substantive motion moved by a Minister) or if any motion has been made for the adjournment of the debate, or in Committee that the Chairperson do report progress, or do leave the Chair, such motion shall lapse.
