Women of Wonder Awards Mauritius 2019

The Women of Wonder Awards was founded by CEO of Panache International Farzana Mayet to award and give due recognition and show appreciation to ordinary extraordinary women who believe in the power of their dreams and the ambition to emulate their passion into purpose.

This awards Creates a platform for ordinary extraordinary women to be recognized and shown appreciation for their outstanding contribution to the upliftment of others,whilst also allowing women ie:the WOMAN OF WONDER to extensively grow and expand their network,database and circle of influence.

The WOW AWARDS therefore aims to bring together power and influential women who have succeeded in their professional and personal lives, and who embody the qualities of leadership in displaying active, creative and integrative efforts in achieving success at personal, national, and regional levels, to deliberate on ways of inclusion and empowerment of women in the mainstream economy through skills development, enterprise development, entrepreneurship projects and improving young women’s access to mentors and incubators. 

Women who have certainly made their mark in their various careers are awarded and recognized on this day.

This is an award for women whose extraordinary achievements further the economic empowerment of women. A WOW recipient is a woman who is: 
• a progressive thinker. 
• a dynamic leader. 
• a woman that strives to make a difference in society. 
• a woman who makes a formidable impact on others. 
• As well a woman who continues to inspire and empower. 

This year Panache or rather the WOW AWARDS celebrates its 5th year having awarded over 400 women in South Africa with us graciously having celebrared our inaugural WOW Awards in Dubai  with the Sheikha; Hend Al Qassami being one of the speakers and recipients. This prestigious award is gaining worldwide recognition with Panache being invited to host these awards in ither countries as well ,and the CEO Farzana Mayet does plan to take this initiative global.As the  WOW Experience is to not only to award Women achievers but also to recognize those unselfish women who have collaboratively supported women to achieve success both in their personal and business/professional lives by collaborating on “women duties” so Women can progress and follow their dreams. 

FARZANA MAYET is of the firm belief that more women need to adopt a COLLABORATION AND NOT COMPETITION APPROACH towards each other.As that is the only way we as women can flourish.

They were recognised in a glitzy function held at the Intercontinental Balaclava Hotel  with glitz, glam and food fit for royalty.As was the aim ,women came together under one common umbrella on the day sharing their experiences from Trials to Triumphs inculcating a fresher mindset and brand new resolve to achieve even greater heights.

Farzana Mayet had made an announcement following recipient Teenah Juttons speech that there needs to be more awareness created alongside Mental Health especially for Women on which she centres next years event to be raising funds for just that.

AWARD CATEGORIES: 

1)Individual Awards Non-Corporate -These are Women who are Women of Wonders and who are progressive in society as a whole, not necessary, in Corporate. These women dedicate their lives to a purpose of Serving the Community, their families and children. They have given up on their careers for the wellbeing of their families and society as a whole. They serve the community they live in through social responsibility programs and welfare.  
2 Individuals – Entrepreneurs. These are Women who are progressive as entrepreneurs and have shown diligence, commitment and dedication to their business through their vision. 
Fundamentally, a demonstrable track record in prioritizing the wellbeing and happiness of the people that make her company great. She is widely respected and liked within the organisation, and also has an admirable reputation among peers and competitors. A leader who is a change maker and strives in been an employee engagement champion; a leader who enriches and inspires all around her, while being instrumental in driving business performance. 
3 Corporate – Private Sector – categories include but not limited to Finance; Banking; IT, Manufacturing; Media, Hospitality and Legal – Women who have progressed and become visionaries in the Corporate Private sectors. Have been Mavericks and developed themselves in the Corporate Private sector despite challenges faced.  
4 Corporates- State-owned: - Sectors include but not limited to Education; Social, Medical. - Women who have progressed and become visionaries in the Corporate State-owned sectors. Have been Mavericks and developed themselves in this sector despite challenges faced. 
5 Supportive Gender Collaborative Awards - Men who are working with Women Collaboratively Empowering women to realize women empowerment. Both in the workplace and society. Men who support Women in their personal lives by collaborating on “women” duties so Women can progress and follow their dreams. These can be supportive husbands, fathers, brothers, sons, employers and leaders in corporate 

This is an award to be enjoyed and celebrated by the ENTIRE FAMILY. 

An event of Glitz, Glamour coupled with grandeur and eloquence like no other and will certainly be an unforgettable event that will be attended by great personalities as well as media icons. Some great Women amongst our 500 ladies thus far to have been awarded are
