Urgent need for fundamental amendments to be brought to Workers Rights Bill and The Employment Relations (Amendment) Bill

The GWF and JNP have issued two papers giving thier position on the Workers Rights Bill and The Employment Relations (Amendment) Bill that will be debated in the Parliament next week,

A meeeting with the Minister of Labour is scheduled on the 25th July and the leaders of the two trade unions have indicated that:-

The GWF and JNP have resisted on the critical series of fundamental amendments to the PGRF, the redundancy, minimal workers’ rights, collective agreement and procedural agreement as well as other issues. The GWF and JNP are of the views that if those amendments are brought it will be prejudiced to the interest of thousands of workers of the country.
