BCC School Pailles has organized free eye testing for more than 100 people and distributed 47 pairs of reading glasses free of charge on Thursday 1 August 2019. The reading glasses were distributed by the students of Grade 6 of BCC School.

It has always been a culture of BCC School to do something for the elderly people and people who have eye sight problem.   Elderly people have contributed massively in the development of the country and made us educated.  Even at this age they help families in different ways such as, purchasing necessary items for families, taking grand children to tuitions etc.  Hence, they deserve a good care at this age.  Many of our citizens including elderly people have difficulties to see.  However, many cannot afford to buy a pair of glasses as they are very expensive in Mauritius and often it takes a very long time to get a pair of glasses from the sponsors.  Meanwhile the patients continue suffering. Eye sight problem is very common among the very young children nowadays.  It is mainly due to overuse of computer, mobile phones etc. and poor food habits.  Hence, BCC School has tried to help both elderly people and school going children.

“It is our sincere hope that this effort will be fruitful and will be able to put a smile on the faces of the people who did or doing everything to make us smile!  Also the school going children will get relief and will be able to concentrate more in their studies.  We intend to organize this type of activities again in near future.  We request one and all to pray for the continuous success of our school, its students, staff and especially for the students of Grade 6. ” Said Muhammmad Shahin Uddin Sardar, the founder and Director of BCC School.
